Mommy Helen's Birthday at Holy Cross

Nov. 3, 2006 - We celebrated what would have been Mommy Helen Galvez's 69th birthday.

We brought a rocket which is powered by mixing vinegar and baking soda. The highest altitude that it reached was about 50 feet, but I smelled like vinegar afterwards. You know what, Kit & Boing, Mommy Helen chose this spot with Dy before she was diagnosed to have cancer in 1994. I guess it's part of her being organized. We will remember Mommy Helen as a loving and caring mother/grandmother, who was very sensitive to the feelings of others, while she herself was selfless.
